A Day in the Life - A Month at a Time July-August 2006 Well the World Series of Darts finally aired on ESPN. It wasn't everything I had hoped for but the event has still done more for professional darts in the US then anything else in recent history. I made it through the US team regionals so one goal was realized. But I fell short again in the National Championships, falling in the quarter-finals. Right now I'm just looking forward to a long stretch of tournaments starting in September. It should be an exciting fall with lots of darts to come. Working on the US Professional Tour is taking up a lot of time but I believe it will all be worth the effort. June 2006 Life in the post WSOD era has been crazy to say the least. Playing in such a big event was certainly an exciting experience. I have never been so motivated in darts before in my life. Its always one thing to think you can compete at the next level, but now that I have tasted the big stage I want MORE! Plans to attend both the World Matchplay qualifiers, PDPA championships, and the Las Vegas Desert Classic were all put on hold due to a family illness. Hopefully the worst of that is behind me now and I will be able to attend the World Championship qualifiers in December. But for sure I am looking forward to the US National Team playoffs in July, and the US National Championship in August. May 2006 Wow, what a hectic pace these past few months have been. Between sponsor negotiations, media interviews, and practice I have hardly had any time to myself. Its been a grueling but exciting time to be sure. I have been hitting the board at least 4 hours a day practicing for the WSOD. My game is the best it has ever been, and I am really looking forward to the tournament. The other exciting event has been the launch of my new website. It has been a labor and my clients will probably want to kill me when they find out I worked on my project instead of theirs. But I am pleased with how it has come together so far. After the WSOD I plan on putting up a flash enhanced version with all the bells and whistles. But for the next few weeks Im shutting all work down and concentrating solely on preparing for the big tourney.
