Shoot the Rapids Feb 17-19 2006 continued

We have really tough bracket but keep our heads above water eventually landing in the finals. Our opponents are Keith Gibson and Gary Mawson. This will be quite the test. Gary finished 2005 number 3 on the ADO point list and Keith was my partner last year in this event when we won it all. But Sharon and I are just too strong and sweep the finals for first place and a strong start to the weekend.

Saturday starts off with a Mixed Triples event. My team gets a tough draw and an early exit. But my doubles partner has better luck and wins first place. Very encouraging going into doubles the next event.

Doubles Cricket is up next and we sail through to the money rounds. Unfortunately, we get upended in the round of 16 to the team that eventually finishes runner-up. Kind of dissapointing but there is alot of darts to be played.

Singles 501 is next on tap and Im feeling poised to win it all. It is a tough crowd with alot of top shooters from Chicago in the house along with my evil adversary the dreaded Steve Brown. Never the less, my darts are clicking and I through to my third final of the weekend. But its not to be as my opponent, Ron Johnson of Chicago, checks out 130 in the deciding leg. Hey Ron, miss a bullseye would ya?
