St Pat's Dart Tournament Mar 17-19 2006 continued

The first event of Saturday is the Mixed Triples. Bruce and I are joined by Sharon Riojas of Chicago. You might remember Sharon from the Shoot the Rapids tourney earlier. We play well despite some struggles and Sharon's good darts hold us through to the semi-finals. We go out one match short and topfouritis rears its ugly head again.

The doubles were dissapointing as Bruce and I never got clicking going out in both before the money. Sometimes its just not your day I guess but next time I know we will win it all.

Up next is the singles 501 and Im playing solid but not spectacular. I go out in the round of 16 barely scratching the money matches. It was a decent match but this day Gary Mawson was a dart better and I had time to get a good meal from Damons. Hey when you can't feed the competitive fires remember to feed the stomach is my motto!

The last event of the day is the Men's 4 person team. Bruce and I are joined by Ed Debenke and Steve Hertzfeld. The event goes smoothly and we cruise into the semi-finals. Not suprisingly my curse is too much for my team mates and as the final dart is tossed Steve offers to buy me a new shirt.

The day winds down in a huge lobby feast. Every tournament should be held in a hotel with a Damon's. After stuffing my belly its off to get some rest and prepare for the next day's events.
