BloodShot Open Feb 10-11 2006 - contiuned The first event on Saturday morning is the mixed triples. We make the money rounds and lose in the quarter-finals. Not a remarkable event but Dan and I seem to start clicking toward the end. Next up is the doubles 501 event. Again Dan and I play pretty solid but bow out in the semi-finals. It was a tight match that could have gone either way but for the first time shooting together I'm fairly pleased. Men's Singles cricket is on deck and I feel confident about winning the event. As I tear through my bracket the buzz is all around Tom Williams. Reports keep coming in to watchout because he is just storming the board. After an intense semi-final I find myself in yet another singles final for the weekend. My opponent for the finals is Steve Brown who won an incredible semi-final again Tom Williams in the other bracket. We both look a little drained Im sure starting the final match. We split the first 2 legs and its all down to the decider. Steve catches his second wind and never misses a dart. Another runner-up finish. I hate that Steve Brown, did I mention that? The final event of the weekend is Men's Doubles cricket. Dan and I blaze our way to the finals never losing a single leg. Of course, when the finals roll around our opponents are none other then Steve Hertzfeld and you guessed it Steve Brown. Three legs later Dan and I claim first place and end the weekend on a high note. Okay, maybe Steve Brown isnt so bad after all... Up next Shoot the Rapids in my home town!
